Sealing frequency depends on use, not just stone type
A natural stone feature wall that never gets wet can go several years between sealings; a natural stone shower floor may need resealing annually. The general range we quote clients is every one to two years, but actual use is the real driver.
The water-bead test
A simple way to check if a sealed stone surface needs attention: pour a small amount of water on it. If it beads up, the seal is still working. If it soaks in and darkens the stone, it's time to reseal.
Daily care is simpler than people expect
Day to day, natural stone just needs a pH-neutral cleaner — acidic cleaners (many all-purpose sprays included) can etch certain stones over time. We send every natural stone client home with a short care sheet covering exactly what to use and avoid.
